Video Abstract
Summary

This randomized controlled trial examines whether pelvic floor muscle training before prolapse surgery improves postoperative outcomes. Among 159 women, preoperative training provided no additional benefits for muscle contraction, prolapse symptoms, or anatomical outcomes six months after surgery. However, surgery was associated with improved muscle function and reduced symptoms overall.
